What is the ruling on supplicating with the phrase: "O Allah, You have rights over us, so bestow them upon us as charity"?

It is permissible to supplicate with "God has bestowed upon us" (تصدق الله علينا) or "O God, bestow upon us" (اللهم تصدق علينا) according to Imam An-Nawawi, even though it is better to limit oneself to the transmitted supplications. Some of the Salaf disliked this phrasing, so it is preferable and more cautious to avoid it.
