Is it permissible to abort a pregnancy before it reaches four months due to the presence of five young children, the youngest of whom is one and a half years old, knowing that the birth will take place outside the country?

Abortion is forbidden in Islamic law because it constitutes corruption on Earth and destruction of progeny. The prohibition increases and the crime becomes graver if the pregnancy reaches four months and the soul has been breathed into the fetus, for it then becomes the killing of a soul which Allah has forbidden except by right. The prohibition becomes even more severe if the motivation behind the abortion is fear of poverty, as Allah has forbidden this and described it as "a great sin."
