What is Imam Malik's madhhab regarding the imam turning to face the worshippers after concluding the prayer, and is it true that he does not turn to face them?

It is desirable for the Imam to turn his face towards the congregants after the Tasleem, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did. It is not desirable for the Imam to stand up before performing the prescribed post-prayer supplications; in fact, his standing up before that deprives him of much reward. This is the preferred view in the Maliki school. The jurists disliked the Imam remaining seated in the mosque's mihrab in his initial posture after his salaam. This disliking is removed by him changing his posture and turning towards the people. The Imam's quick departure misses out on the angels' prayers for forgiveness for him as long as he remains in his prayer place. The great Imams in Andalusia and elsewhere observed Imams turning their faces towards the congregation without standing up.
