Is it permissible for a man to teach women the Quran in a home, with the husband of one of them present and a screen separating them?
It is preferable and safer for women to be taught by a woman. If that is not possible, it is permissible to use recordings and computers for memorization.
If there is a need for a man to teach them, it is permissible with certain conditions: 1. The teaching must be from behind a screen/veil. 2. There should be no submissive speech. 3. Speech should be limited to what is necessary. 4. The teacher should withdraw if he feels any inclination in his heart. 5. The teacher should be elderly, married, and known for his righteousness.
A woman's voice is not considered 'awrah (something that must be concealed) unless it involves submissive speech.
Mixing of genders in education is forbidden, and it is not permissible for a man to teach a woman who is not wearing a , or to be in seclusion with her. It is permissible for a man to teach a woman from behind a screen/veil in schools specifically for women, with communication occurring via communication networks or telephone, while being careful to avoid submissive speech.
