What should I do about my domineering wife, who has a sharp tongue and constantly curses me, my family, and her children?

If the wife is foul-mouthed, she should be advised, and the gravity of her insolence towards her husband and her unjust imprecations against him and his family should be made clear. This is an ignorance of the husband's rights, ill-manners, and a violation of the prohibition against cursing one's family and children. Effort must be made to strengthen her connection with Allah, encourage her to associate with righteous women, listen to admonitions, cooperate with her in ذكر (remembrance of Allah) and Qur'an recitation, and be patient with her, seeking reward from Allah. If she does not respond, then resort to abandoning her in bed and non-punitive striking to deter her.
