What is the correct way to offer condolences, and should one say, "May Allah reward you with good and bless you," to someone who says, "May Allah magnify your reward and better your solace"? What is the ruling on saying, "Permanence belongs to Allah, and everlastingness belongs to Allah"? And is it permissible to recite Al-Fatiha from a mobile phone?

There is no specific formula for offering condolences. Rather, one says what is appropriate for the situation. The best of these is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, to Allah belongs what He has taken, and to Him belongs what He has given, and everything with Him has an appointed term. So, be patient and seek Allah's reward."
