What is the ruling on reciting the Qur’an in a house of mourning and over the deceased, and what is the ruling on reciting Surat Ya-Sin over the deceased and in the graveyard?

Reading the Qur’an in a house of mourning and gathering for that purpose is an innovated bid‘ah. However, there is no objection to a Muslim reading the Qur’an and dedicating its reward to the deceased, and the deceased will be rewarded for that. The hadith about reciting Surah Yasin for the deceased has been deemed weak by many scholars, and Imam Malik did not act upon it, although some allowed it at the head of a dying person. Reciting the Qur’an in the graveyard is considered reprehensible by scholars.
