In the biography of Zayd ibn Kharijah al-Ansari, Al-Mizzi narrated from Al-Nu'man ibn Bashir that Zayd spoke after his death. He uncovered the cloth from his face and greeted, then spoke about the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman, may Allah be pleased with them. He mentioned Bi'r Aris, then asked about Kharijah and Sa'd. This story has been narrated in many forms, and Ibn Hibban and Abu Hatim alluded to it.
