What is the ruling on working as an accountant in a company that deals with usury, while trying to avoid usurious transactions as much as possible, and is it obligatory to leave the job without finding an alternative?

It is not permissible to work in processing usurious transactions, due to the hadith narrated by Jabir: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes Riba, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses, and he said: 'They are all equal.'" This is impermissible except in cases of extreme necessity. Whoever fears Allah and relies upon Him, He will provide for them from sources they could not imagine.
