Is it permissible for a Muslim to pray Salatul-Istikhara for a Christian woman, or what should the Christian woman do if she wants to pray it?

First: Proxy performance of Istikhara prayer on behalf of non-Muslims is not permissible, because Islam is a condition for the validity of acts of worship, and it is not permissible for anyone to act as a proxy for a non-Muslim in acts of worship.

Second: Scholars differed on the permissibility of proxy performance of Istikhara prayer on behalf of a Muslim, with two opinions: 1. Permissibility: This is the view of some later Maliki and Shafi'i scholars, and it was chosen by some contemporary scholars, based on the hadith: "Whoever among you can benefit his brother, let him benefit him." 2. Non-permissibility: This is the view of Sheikhs Ibn Baz and Ibn Uthaymeen, and Sheikhs Al-Fawzan and Al-Khudair, who believe that Istikhara should be performed by the person himself.

Third: Non-Muslims are invited to respect the privacy of religious rituals and to embrace Islam, because it is the religion of the prophets and a cause for security in this world and the hereafter.
