What is the percentage of those working on zakat from its disbursements?

The zakat (definition) administrators are among the eight categories that are entitled to zakat, and there is no specific proportion for their share. It is permissible to give all zakat to one category according to the majority of scholars, while the Shafi'is hold that it is obligatory to distribute zakat among all eight categories, with each category receiving one-eighth. The administrators are of two types: those responsible for collecting and gathering zakat, and those responsible for distributing and disbursing it. They are paid from their share an amount equivalent to the wages of those performing similar work.
