Is the waiting period (iddah) considered over, and is it permissible to contract a temporary customary marriage until the official divorce proceedings are finalized, or is this considered adultery, and what is the way to deal with this situation?
It is among the husband's duties to provide housing and maintenance for his wife in a reasonable manner, as Allah Almighty says: "And upon the father is their provision and their clothing according to what is reasonable," and He says: "Lodge them [in a section] of where you dwell out of your means and do not harm them to make [life] hard for them."
