What is the ruling on the prayer of one who carries ill-gotten money in his pocket, and is the prayer valid if he was unaware of its presence?

Prayer performed with ill-gotten money in one's pocket is valid, as this is not among the nullifiers of prayer. Ill-gotten money must be disposed of by returning it to its owner if known, or by spending it on charitable causes and the general welfare of Muslims if the owner is unknown.
