Is it permissible to sleep on one's stomach after a pilonidal cystectomy if sleeping on one's side excessively causes knee pain?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded lying down on the right side and forbade sleeping on the stomach, which is a posture displeasing to Allah. He described it as the posture of the people of Hell, and this prohibition is understood as a matter of dislike (makrooh). The best is to sleep on the right side unless it causes hardship or harm. If it causes knee pain, then sleep on the left side. If there is harm from both sides, then sleep on the stomach, because the dislike (karahah) is removed in case of necessity.
