What is the religious ruling regarding a wife who objects to her husband's frequent departures in the way of Allah for the purpose of spreading Islam, especially since she is ill and they live alone together?

A wife should not object to her husband going out for da'wah (inviting to Islam) as long as his financial provision for her continues and his absence is not prolonged to her detriment. The husband must balance da'wah with his wife's rights, especially if she is harmed by his absence. It is advisable for the husband to focus on da'wah in his own country as long as his wife is ill, for neighbors and relatives have a greater claim to da'wah. Da'wah is obligatory upon every Muslim man and woman, and the wife should assist her husband in it as long as she is not harmed.
