If the gift is taken possession of, it becomes valid even if the donee is unaware of it. However, if possession is not taken and the donee is unaware, the gift is not concluded merely by the offer from the donor. According to some scholars, the gift becomes valid merely by the offer from the donor, but it is not binding.
