What is the ruling on visiting Al-Aqsa Mosque and praying in the Dome of the Rock Mosque for those coming from outside Palestine, especially prominent Islamic figures, under Zionist occupation?

Undertaking a journey to Al-Aqsa Mosque and filling it with prayer and remembrance is a great virtue. However, scholars have differed concerning the ruling on traveling to it while it is under occupation. Most respected Islamic bodies, institutions, and figures have prohibited this under the current circumstances, due to the normalization it entails with the Zionist enemy and the recognition of its authority. Among them are the Association of Palestinian Scholars, the Fatwa Committee of the Islamic University of Gaza, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the Islamic Research Academy in Cairo, and Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi. It is worth noting that the Jews only permit visits from those whose visits serve their interests.
