Does traveling to Al-Aqsa Mosque, which requires obtaining a visa from the Israeli embassy and the possibility of exposure to dangers, humiliation, and entering under the permission of the Jews, constitute throwing oneself into perdition and is therefore impermissible by Islamic law?

Traveling to Al-Aqsa Mosque and praying therein is one of the best acts of drawing near to Allah and one of the most sublime acts of obedience. If a Muslim finds an opportunity to travel there, he should seize it, even if it requires appeasing an oppressor who prevents people from reaching it. Scholars have permitted giving money to an oppressor to prevent the violation of honor or to practice worship. However, if a person fears harm to himself, he should not travel, especially since traveling is recommended and not obligatory.
