Is transporting the deceased in a coffin to the graveyard for the purpose of concealing the 'awrah, especially if the deceased is a woman, and then burying them without the coffin considered an innovation (bid'ah)?

Covering the deceased's bier with a pall is permissible if the deceased is a woman, as it provides more concealment for her. It is also commendable if the deceased has a physical deformity, such as hunchback. Otherwise, it is preferable to leave it uncovered for admonition. As for using a coffin for transport, it is contrary to the Sunnah unless there is a necessity for it, such as the inability to carry the body without it, or if the body has decomposed and become putrid.
