The answer

It is obligatory for the Muslim woman in a state of to cover her face from non- men, without wearing the Niqab. She is not required to keep her head covering away from her face; it is permissible for the head covering to touch the face. This is indicated by the practice of the female Companions during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Scholars have agreed that there is no evidence to necessitate her keeping it separate, and that what some people do by raising the head covering from the face with a band has no basis in Islamic Law.
