The Bedouins (al-A'rab) are the inhabitants of the deserts and wildernesses who follow rainfall and vegetation, unlike the settled people (ahl al-hadar) in villages and cities. They are those who dwell in the deserts, whereas the term "Arabs" (al-Arab) is a general term for this type of human being, whether they reside in deserts or villages.
