A miracle is an extraordinary event performed by Allah through His prophets to confirm their prophethood and establish proof for His servants. The Qur’an is the greatest and most enduring of these miracles. Allah challenged the Arabs with it, asking them to produce a book like it, or ten surahs, or even one surah, but they failed. Thus, the truthfulness of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, became manifest, and proof was established against all mankind. The Qur’an is the greatest miracle of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, by which he was distinguished from all other prophets, as stated in the Hadith of Abu Hurairah: "There was no prophet among the prophets but was given what was similar to that upon which mankind believed, and what I was given was a revelation (Wahy) which Allah revealed to me. So I hope that I will be the one with the most followers on the Day of Resurrection."
