To what extent is the hadith authentic: "Indeed, the most I fear for my Ummah is a man who carries the Qur’an until its splendor is seen upon him, and he was a support for Islam. Then, he changes to what Allah wills, and casts it behind his back, and carries a weapon against his neighbor, and accuses him of shirk." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who is more deserving of shirk, the accuser or the accused?" He replied, "The accuser."?

The Hadith was narrated by Ibn Hibban and Abu Ya'la with the wording: "Indeed, among what I fear for you is a man who reads the Quran until its splendor is seen upon him, and he becomes a support for Islam. Then he changes it to whatever Allah wills, and he strips himself of it, casting it behind his back. He then attacks his neighbor with the sword and accuses him of shirk (polytheism)." I (the narrator) said: "O Prophet of Allah, which of them is more deserving of shirk: the accused or the accuser?" He said: "Rather, the accuser." Ibn Kathir improved its chain of narration, and Al-Albani authenticated it.
