What is the form of: "If he swears by Allah, He will fulfill his oath"? How is this oath made?

The form of swearing an oath by Allah Almighty is for a person to say: "I adjure You, O Lord, to do such-and-such." Al-Bara' ibn Malik and other predecessors did this. What is authentically reported in the Sahih from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, indicates the permissibility of this, where he said: "Many a disheveled, dust-covered person, wearing two worn garments, driven away from doors, if he were to swear an oath by Allah, Allah would fulfill it for him."
