Is it permissible to raise one's hands when the preacher supplicates on Friday?

Neither the Imam nor the worshipper should raise their hands on Friday. As for the Imam, it is due to what has been established regarding the dislike of raising them on the minbar during supplication, and that it is an innovation (bid'ah). As for the worshipper, there is a difference of opinion concerning him: some have prohibited it due to the lack of established evidence for raising them, while others have permitted it due to the generality of the proofs for the desirability of raising hands in supplication.
