The second type is wealth that is unlawful due to its earning, such as usurious money or money from selling alcohol. This wealth is unlawful only for the one who acquired it, but it is not unlawful for someone who received it through a permissible means. The way to repent from it is to dispose of it and spend it on charitable causes, including building mosques. Praying in a mosque built with unlawful money is permissible.
