What is the ruling on reciting Surat Al-Fatihah after finishing the funeral prayer or after burial?

Reciting Al-Fatihah for the deceased, whether before or after burial, is not permissible. This is because acts of worship are based on divine injunction, and there is no evidence to prove its legitimacy. When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, finished burying the deceased, he would stand over the grave and say: "Ask Allah to forgive your brother and supplicate for him steadfastness, for indeed he is now being questioned." Furthermore, graveyards are not places for prayer or recitation.
