Is it permissible for the family to inquire about the wife's money that her husband gives her, and is she obligated to spend on her parents from it, given that the father is in good health and able to work but has no source of income?
If the money given by the husband to his wife is for her and her children's expenses, then she is not permitted to give any of it to her parents or others without her husband's permission.
However, if the money is given to her to dispose of as she wishes, then she is permitted to give some of it to her parents.
If the wife does not possess money exceeding her needs, she is not obligated to spend on her parents, even if they are in need of support.
If the father is able to earn a living, then his support is not obligatory upon anyone else, and he should not live on charity.
Children must honor their parents and be benevolent towards them to the best of their ability.
