Filial piety is among the most obligatory duties and greatest acts of devotion to Allah. Allah has linked His right to the right of parents and has forbidden disobedience to them, making it one of the gravest sins. A child must repent and show kindness to their parents before it is too late. Parents, in turn, should be gentle with their child and ask Allah for their guidance, for their supplication is answered.
