Is it permissible to use medicines derived from animals not slaughtered according to Islamic rites?

It is not permissible to use carrion for medicinal purposes, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has not made the cure for my Ummah in what He has forbidden to them." Treatment with forbidden substances is abhorrent both rationally and legally, because Allah Almighty forbade them due to their impurity. Thus, it is not appropriate to seek healing from diseases through them, for even if they alleviate them, they will be followed by a greater ailment in the heart due to their impurity.
