Is it permissible to buy a car designated for the disabled from a disabled relative for a symbolic sum of money?

The ruling on this matter depends on the state's permission. If the state allows the relinquishment of this right to another, with or without compensation – for example, if one buys a car in their name for another and takes compensation – then there is no harm in that.

However, if the state prohibits the person allocated this right from giving it to another, and considers this deception and fraud, then it is not permissible for him to do so. This is because cheating and deception are forbidden, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever cheats us is not of us." This includes all forms of cheating and deception in any field.

Therefore, one must refer to the competent authorities. If they permit it, there is no harm; otherwise, it is not permissible.
