What is the ruling on reciting the Qur'an at the grave, and has any hadith been reported concerning that, and is it permissible to dedicate the reward of reciting the Qur'an to the deceased in some sittings?

Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on reciting the Qur’an at the grave, and the preponderant opinion is that it is an innovation (bid'ah) due to the absence of any hadith from the Prophet, peace be upon him, concerning it. Ibn al-Hajj al-Maliki mentioned that reciting at graves is an innovation and that Malik's madhhab considers it disliked (makruh). Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen stated that it is an innovation that was not reported from the Prophet, peace be upon him, nor from his companions. Consequently, the daily gathering for recitation over the deceased is considered an innovation. However, reciting the Qur’an without ceremonies and dedicating its reward to the deceased is permissible, and its reward reaches him according to the preponderant opinion among scholars.
