What is the ruling on touching or kissing another person's foot, and what is your opinion on Tahir al-Qadri's use of weak or fabricated hadiths to justify it?

Kissing the feet is permissible, based on two hadiths and one incident: First, two Jews kissed the foot of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Second, the delegation of Abd al-Qays kissed the foot of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. As for the incident, it involves Imam Muslim kissing between the eyes of Imam al-Bukhari and requesting to kiss his feet, though it is not confirmed that he actually did so.

For permissibility, it is stipulated that the kissing of parents and people of knowledge be an act of worship to Allah, and that it not be for someone who eagerly seeks it, and that it be rare and only when needed, not at every meeting.
