Will a committed girl be sinful if she stipulates to the suitor complete equality in rights and domestic duties, so that they share work inside and outside the home, in raising children, in crucial decisions, and in expenses, and so that he has no guardianship over her? And will she be considered a martyr if she dies without marrying by her own will, while avoiding temptations?

Marriage is religiously recommended and carries the meaning of worship. It becomes obligatory for one who fears falling into haram (forbidden acts). There is no harm in abstaining from marriage for a woman who does not fear for herself, but it is better not to turn away from it due to its great benefits. As for stipulating that the husband has no right to discipline or to be in charge, this is void because it contradicts Islamic law, and a wife's obedience is conditional upon Islamic law and what is customary. The saying "a woman dies with the reward of a martyr" does not apply to a single woman, but rather to a woman who dies during her postpartum period (nifas) or while pregnant.
