Is it permissible to abandon enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong if it negatively affects a person's health, psyche, and priorities, and makes him feel unworthy? And is there a sin upon the one who abandons it?

Enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil is a collective obligation (fard kifayah), and it may become an individual obligation (fard ayn) if a person is the only one capable of performing it. It requires ability and capacity, and that it does not lead to a greater evil. It is not permissible to abandon advising simply because evil is being committed. It does not contradict self-reform; rather, it is a cause for divine success (tawfiq). Whoever endures what befalls him in its path will be granted success.
