Is it permissible to follow Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah regarding the issue of divorcing a menstruating woman, and what is the ruling of Islam on that?

Divorce during menstruation is considered valid by the majority of scholars, including the Four Schools of Thought. However, Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and those who agreed with him, such as Ibn al-Qayyim, Sheikh Ibn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen, and the Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas, are of the opinion that it is invalid because it is an innovated divorce (talaq bid'ah) and contrary to the prescribed legality of divorce during a period of purity.
