Numerous texts indicate the permissibility of a woman working, provided two conditions are met: First, her husband's permission for her to go out. This permission is waived if the husband becomes insolvent or withholds financial support. Second, her work must be within the bounds of what is permissible; she should not engage in disobedience, nor should she go out displaying her adornments. Rather, she must safeguard her honor and chastity. If the husband permits her to work on the condition that she spends on herself and her children, there is no objection to this, and she must adhere to this condition as long as she is working.
