What is the ruling on arbitration if the arbitrators do not issue their decision with justice?

If what is meant by arbitration is for the disputing parties to choose someone to judge between them, then this is permissible by the consensus of Muslims, as indicated by the Almighty's saying: "And if you fear a breach between the two, then appoint a judge from his family and a judge from her family." It is a condition for this arbitration or reconciliation that it does not permit what is forbidden or forbid what is lawful. If it permits what is forbidden or forbids what is lawful, then it is void.
