The answer

If a fornicator becomes known, he is not exempted from the command to conceal his sin; rather, he is enjoined to repent and not to worsen the ugliness of his deed by publicizing it. For the entire community is pardoned except those who publicize their sins. And it is a form of publicizing when a person commits an act at night and Allah conceals it, but then he wakes up and exposes Allah's concealment of him. Whoever falls into any of the abominations that Allah has forbidden, let him cover himself with Allah's concealment and repent to Him, for indeed, whoever exposes himself, Allah's decree will be carried out against him.
