What is the ruling on a man traveling by land to Bangladesh to seek knowledge without his parents' consent, exposing himself to danger and absence from his family, and is it sufficient for him to attend available gatherings and follow religious programs?

Traveling in pursuit of knowledge is desirable in Islamic law. However, if the parents forbid it, then their need for his service should be considered. If they are not in need, then the necessity of the knowledge being sought should be considered. If it is an individual obligation (fard ayn) and there is no one to teach it in his country, then it is permissible to travel without their permission. Otherwise, he should not travel except with their permission. As for the rights of the wife and children, the wife should be sought for her permission, and provisions should be left for her, or an attempt should be made to return to her, or to travel with her if possible.
