Is a single expiation required, or are multiple expiations required, for one who repeatedly broke oaths concerning giving up smoking?

One must repent to Allah Almighty for smoking, which is forbidden, and for breaking oaths. An expiation (kaffarah) is due for each of these oaths, because the expiation became incumbent upon the first breach, and every subsequent breach necessitates an expiation. The relied-upon view among the Hanbalis is that only one expiation is required due to the intermingling of expiations, but the preponderant view is that of the majority of scholars, which states that an expiation is required for each oath.
