It is forbidden for a Muslim to place his money in usurious branches, except in cases of extreme necessity, such as fearing it from theft. He must repent and dispose of the usurious interests, spending them on charitable causes. It is forbidden to own prizes resulting from usurious transactions, and they must be disposed of by spending them on good deeds and ways that benefit Muslims.
