What is the ruling on partnering with a person in a project if one of their sources of income is trading in tobacco?

It is permissible to partner with someone whose wealth is mixed [with lawful and unlawful earnings], provided the transaction is permissible and Islamically regulated. However, it is disliked, with the degree of dislike increasing or decreasing based on the abundance or scarcity of unlawful elements. Similarly, partnering with someone who does not guard against unlawful earnings is disliked, out of fear that the unlawful might affect one's partner.
