What is the ruling on a husband who says to his wife, "I have divorced you," and then says to her, "You are not to be believed that I have divorced you," and is the wife considered divorced in this case?

If a husband divorces his wife three times, she becomes unlawful for him until she marries another husband and he divorces her. If the wife is certain that a triple divorce has occurred, she must not allow her husband access to her, nor adorn herself for him, unless she is compelled to do so. She should also seek a khul' (divorce initiated by the wife). The matter should be brought before the Sharia courts.
