Must I complete the two consecutive months of fasting that I vowed after Ramadan, or should I restart the fast, since I vowed to fast for two consecutive months?

Scholars have differed on whether fasting in Ramadan interrupts the continuity of obligatory fasts—such as the expiatory fast for Dhihar (injurious assimilation of one's wife to an unmarriageable kin) or a vowed fast—into three opinions:

1. It breaks the continuity: This is the view of the Hanafis, Shafi'is, and Malikis. 2. Detailed view: The ignorant person who fasted in Sha'ban believing it was not Ramadan is excused, but the non-ignorant person is not excused and must restart. 3. It does not break the continuity: This is the view of the Hanbalis.

The preponderant view is that the advent of Ramadan breaks the continuity because what is required is the fulfillment of continuous fasting, and it was possible to fast outside of Ramadan. Neglecting this despite being able to do so is a dereliction of duty, and therefore one must restart. Ignorance does not waive obligations.
