It is a man's right to practice polygyny if he is able to be just, and a woman is not permitted to seek divorce for that reason. What the aforementioned wife did — her insubordination (nushooz), taking money without permission, and demanding the divorce of her sister — is forbidden. She must repent and return [to obedience]. As for her maintenance (nafaqa), if she is insubordinate, she is not entitled to maintenance, housing, or equitable division [of time].
