What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a wife who refuses to live with her husband after he marries another woman, and who has disposed of his money and possessions? Is he obligated to provide for her?

It is a man's right to practice polygyny if he is able to be just, and a woman is not permitted to seek divorce for that reason. What the aforementioned wife did — her insubordination (nushooz), taking money without permission, and demanding the divorce of her sister — is forbidden. She must repent and return [to obedience]. As for her maintenance (nafaqa), if she is insubordinate, she is not entitled to maintenance, housing, or equitable division [of time].
