Has God favored Muslims who were born into Islam over those who were born into other religions, and what is the fault of those who were born non-Muslim and then disliked Islam?

The gist of the Fatwa: It is not necessary that one born into Islam or of Muslim parents is better than one who has recently embraced Islam; superiority is determined by piety (taqwa). One who was born outside of Islam and then embraced it will not be held accountable for their past sins. As for one who was born into disbelief (kufr) and persisted in it after reaching maturity and being able to reflect and deduce, they cannot be compared to a Muslim.
