What is the ruling regarding a woman who committed adultery during the daytime in Ramadan and repented, but is unable to fast two consecutive months as expiation for fear of her affair being exposed?

This woman committed the grave sin of adultery while being a married person (muhsana) during the day in Ramadan. She must hasten to sincere repentance and increase her acts of obedience and charity. She is required to make up for the fast (qada') and pay expiation (kaffarah), which is: freeing a slave. If she cannot find one, then fasting for two consecutive months. If she is unable to do that, then feeding sixty needy persons.

She must conceal her sin with the concealment of Allah and not inform anyone. If she is asked about the reason for her fasting, she can say that she intentionally broke her fast one day after reaching puberty and is repenting from it. The Hanafi and Maliki schools of thought mandate kaffarah for anyone who intentionally breaks their fast with any invalidator, such as eating, drinking, or sexual intercourse.
