Is it permissible in Islamic law for a woman to marry five times, with the power to divorce ( عصمة) in her hand, after she made a vow to that effect due to her feeling of oppression from her husband who psychologically, materially, and socially abused her?

A vow to marry is not binding, nor does it require expiation. There is no harm in requesting marriage five times, provided it is done through legitimate means, bearing in mind that a woman is prohibited from seeking divorce without a valid reason. As for stipulating that the power of divorce ( عصمة ) be in the wife's hand, this is invalid because it contradicts the essence of the contract. However, the husband delegating or authorizing his wife to divorce herself is permissible according to the majority of scholars.
