Is imitating players in their style of play, and not their personalities, considered Shirk in non-religious matters where there is no religious guidance?

Playing football is permissible if it does not lead to physical harm, exposure of 'awrah (private parts), incitement of discord and enmity, or distraction from prayer and the remembrance of Allah. It is forbidden to imitate disbelieving and wicked players in their attire and customs, because "whoever imitates a people is one of them." It is permissible to imitate them only in their playing style and skills.
